While in Athens, there are many areas you can enjoy the nightlife with the locals. From dance clubs to local bars, Athens has it all! Here are a few places we recommend!

Gazi

Gazi: Located only 10 minutes from the historical center, Gazi is where the area comes alive late at night. Here you have a combination of big dance clubs, to bars and a few restaurants. The dance clubs open late ( around 23:00 pm) as they are open until early hours in the morning. So it’s literally dance till you drop in Gazi!
How to get there: Take the blue metro line to Kerameikos station

Psyri

Psyri: Located right in the historical center this area is idea for early drinks or dinner. There are many bars and little tavernas and it is considered the student’s choice due to the fact that the prices are cheaper than other areas. You can enjoy raki, rakomelo and many other local drinks with meze here, while enjoying the company of the locals as well.
How to get there: Psyri is located on the opposite side of Ermou street from Monastiraki square

Exarcheia

Exarcheia: If you enjoy a rock n roll scene then this is your choice. Exarcheia has many rock bars but also many places to eat. Many people here grab drinks from the kiosk and just sit at the square. If you want a taste of the cultural area of Athens, this is for you!
How to get there: Take the red line to Omonoia square and walk 5 minutes to Emmanouel Mpenaki
