Lake Vouliagmeni: The name means sunken lake and it is a small water lake fed by underground currents. The lake is located on the south riviera of Athens. It formed around 2,000 years ago, after a large cavern collapsed from an earthquake. There is an underwater cave that has never been fully explored and many amateur divers have drowned trying. The lake functions as a spa due the constant warm water and rich content.
How to get to Lake Vouliagmeni: You take the red Metro line from Syntagma square to Elliniko and from there you will need to take the bus 122. The trip is around 1,5 hours.
